On this episode of teenVoice, Sports Editor Vaughn Granlund and Feature Editor Skylen Raleigh take the reigns as first-time hosts to discuss a topic near and dear to them: volunteering. Whether it’s to raise funds for a school event, to fulfill a requirement for an academic program or just out of the goodness of one’s own heart, giving back to the community is important, easy and soul-nourishing. To give additional perspectives, Columbia Heights High School (CHHS) students and active volunteers Carly Schulz (11) and Felix Schaefer (11) as well as CHHS Social Studies teacher and Key Club adviser Mr. Dan Tschida join the conversation. Take a listen to hear about their experiences and get some ideas on how to get involved in your community.
