Coachella—the “it” music festival of the year, held annually at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California—is known not only for its star-studded lineup and massive crowds, but also for its many celebrities and influencers in attendance. However, the most important part of this event has to be the outfits. Attendees tend to go all out with extravagant, high-end branded clothes and an assortment of flashy accessories. With that said, let’s dive into some of the outfits that showed out this year.
Singer and rapper Jennie Kim of BLACKPINK’s get-up was designed by her personal stylist Park Hee Min Kim. A full custom Mugler outfit consisting of a monochromatic, all-red fit complemented by leather micro shorts, a crocodile-textured matching crop top and jacket and some slouchy brown thigh-high boots, this was just the start of the K-pop star’s look. For the accessories, a three-layered buckle belt stood out on top of her shorts, along with some bold Acne Studio sunglasses. To tie it all together, a red cowboy hat sat on her head. This outfit really encapsulated that bohemian fiery feel, which is what Coachella is all about. The color and style worked in harmony, and many fans found her presence stunning and perfect for that desert aesthetic.
“I was a fan of Jennie’s Coachella outfit! It was bold and eye-catching,” Atinan Anwar (11) said. “It also had a fun Y2K vibe with lots of sparkle. While some people debated the styling choices, it was undeniably a standout moment on stage.”
Next is Benson Boone, the rising pop star who recently hit the number-one spot on the Billboard charts. He sported a custom-made Dolce & Gabbana suit in various forms for this performance. For his first outfit, he wore a cropped cream vest-like top with high strong shoulders and light blue wrap accents on the front. The pants matched with a cohesive ivory shade and pops of those light blue wraps were also put at the bottom of the pants. For a slight accessory, Boone had a rose gold heart-shaped buckle belt, adding to the minimal, clean appearance. The next outfit change he had was a flower-printed leotard pantsuit-like outfit, which gave off very disco 70s vibes. The collared, long-sleeve leotard was a shimmery light blue with a sheer material on the top with a very low-cut v-neck. Moving down, Boone sported a silver belt atop pants consistent with the flower-like pattern with a little bell bottom flare at the end of the pants. This outfit was a unique one, emphasizing a different use of fabrics and a bold but cohesive color palette.
Last but certainly not least to highlight is the queen of pop, Lady Gaga, and her always eye-catching fashions. On her performance night at the fest, Gaga had many stunning outfit changes, but for the sake of brevity (as her sartorial sense could easily fill an entire newspaper on its own), we’ll focus on one in particular—her final look for the night, which was also fittingly the most memorable. Gaga strutted on stage with an extraordinary outfit consisting of many, many feathers. In all white and cream, she wore a corset-like top piece with bloody stitch-like accents on the front. A white, very flowy and feathered blazer layered on top and a huge feathered stand-out piece on top of her hips, the piece allowed most of her legs to be exposed and showed her fishnet tights while keeping a structured, theatrical top. For the finishing touches, Gaga wowed her audience with an additional shoulder piece of flared feathers and bird-like claw hands wrapped up and extended outward with every graceful move to the music. Many fans were amazed at the outfits Gaga pulled that night. All parts of this outfit were incredibly remarkable and became a big standout for this year’s Coachella.
“Lady Gaga’s Coachella outfit was extremely eye-catching,” Graydon Evans (11) said. “I liked how unique it was compared to all of the others. It definitely left me wondering about the meaning behind it!”
Of course, this is just a small glimpse into 2025’s Coachella performers’ outfits, but there are countless others to check out, including but not limited to indie rock icon Japanese Breakfast, campy pop chanteuse Marina and feisty, fierce rapper Tink. Music and fashion fans alike can’t wait to see what the next Coachella performers have in store for us in 2026.
