“Business Proposal” (Netflix)

“Business Proposal” is a romantic comedy between a woman who goes on her friend’s blind date as a favor to avoid an awkward rejection, only to find out the prospective partner is her CEO, which surprisingly results in him asking her to marry him afterwards. Unlike so many entries in the rom-com genre, “Business Proposal” both touches a nerve and makes everyone feel lighthearted and welcome. It’s easy to see why it’s remained at the top of the charts for so long, even after the drama ended in early April.
