Little free libraries serve as a place to chill and calm down after a stressful day or when you need a bit of grounding.

“I love little free libraries. They are a cool way to share with your neighbors and connect with people and books you may not be familiar with. Even if library funding in cities and school districts wasn’t constantly being slashed, I would still want LFLs to exist, because they offer surprise and goodwill in a community, especially in a pandemic! Going by the LFL near my house while walking the dog was a really nice bright spot when things got boring or stressful” –Carrie Mesbeobian, local author and a member of the Columbia Heights Public Library Board
